The original release date for director Ron Howard’s new film “Rush” was set to be September 20, 2013, but it has been pushed back seven days to September 27.
Universal studios has apparently pushed back the release date so that the film competes at the box office with Fox Searchlight’s Baggage Claim, Sony/Columbia’s Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2, Relativity’s Don Jon and Fox thriller Runner Runner. The original release date would have pitted the movie against Warner Bros’ Prisoners.
